"Digital Storytelling and Historical Analysis"

This presentation will highlight the pedagogical challenges of using digital storytelling as a venue for historical analysis. In history classes employing digital storytelling, students author historical projects using new media. We will consider how digital projects broaden students’ skills and engender excitement for historical research. We will also look at how implementing a multi-media project forces new considerations in course planning, content delivery, and assessment. We will screen and discus examples of student work.
